Parenting Guide, Mindful Parenting, Inspiring Greatness

“Parents need to fill a child’s bucket of self-esteem so high that the rest of the world can’t poke enough holes in it to drain it dry.” ~Alvin Price~

With the beginning of the school year, this is so important. A child’s success in school on all levels: academically, emotionally, physically, mentally and socially  is highly dependent on their sense of self-esteem. As teachers, we are often expected to be miracle workers. We can nurture and help develop self-esteem, and we do.

The dilemma happens when this is not being done at home. Children with strong, healthy self-esteem are far more resilient than their counterparts. They are more apt to take risks, be willing to fail, try again and not feel overwhelmed. When a child lack’s self-esteem, it makes it more difficult for them to focus and learn.

What can you do today…and all this month to nurture your child’s self-esteem…?
